Oakstar's past- Chapter 4

Oakkit woke up, a dim light shining from the nursery. He looked around, Where was Mousefur? Oakkit tilted his head, calling for his mother. "Where are you, mama?" He looked out of the nursery, sniffing the air. Oakkit's paws brought him to the fresh-kill pile. She was there, but where did she go? He looked around, still searching for her. 'She might come back later.' Oakkit walked back to the nursery, snuggling close to Spottedkit and her mother. He closed his eyes, waiting for the sun to rise higher. But where could Mousefur be? and Why would she leave him? Oakkit shook with fear at the thought of being abandoned.
Oakkit felt paws poke at him. He opened his eyes. Spottedkit was poking him in the face. "Let's play!" Spottedkit mewed. Oakkit looked around the nursery, Mousefur watched her son from the corner. "Where were you, mama?" He mewed, running towards her. "I was just sharing prey earlier this morning." Mousefur mewed. "I saved a peice for you." She meowed, flicking her tail towards the peice of fresh-kill. Oakkit smelled it, tilting his head. He bit at the mouse and finished it in a few famished bites. "Be safe." Mousefur mewed, watching as the brown kit left the nursery.

Spottedkit sniffed the air. "I don't think that the apprentices are here!" She squeaked, turning in all directions.
"Without them it's boring." Oakkit growled at her comment. "Do you think I'm boring?" He asked. "Yes." She murmured. "What did you say?" Oakkit mewed. "I didn't hear you!" Spottedkit turned towards Oakkit. "I said, yes!" Spottedkit mewed. "You're no fun!" She hissed. Oakkit shook his head and jumped on her. Spottedkit squealed, trying to get the kit off of her, feeling claws scratching at her. "Get off of me!" She mewed, standing on her hind legs, making Oakkit fall off of her. "I can't belive you!" Spottedkit whined. "I thought you liked me!" Oakkit mewed. "If anything, you're not fun!" Oakkit mewed to her. "I-I hate you!" Spottedkit squealed, her wounds hurting badly. "Well, I hate you too!" Spottedkit ran over to the nursery, wailing and crying. Oakkit sat on the dirt, waiting for the apprentices to come.

Tigerpaw entered camp, followed by Whitepaw and Sunpaw. "Hi!" Oakkit mewed, running to the apprentices. They were carrying fresh-kill, so they couldn't talk right now. The apprentices placed the prey in the pile. "Where's Spottedkit? I wanted to teach her a cool move." Tigerpaw mewed. "I don't care where she is." Oakkit meowed, hissing angrily. Sunpaw looked at Tigerpaw with confusion. "What happened to her?" Sunpaw asked. Oakkit didn't respond, but he lowered his head. "What did you do?" Whitepaw meowed, looking at Oakkit. "I...Made her angry." Oakkit finally replied. "Well, say sorry." Whitepaw said to Oakkit, stroking his back with his tail. "Let's go." Tigerpaw meowed to Whitepaw and Sunpaw. The three apprentices went to the apprentices den, taking a nap.
Oakkit didn't want to say sorry. He batted his paw at a rock. "Take that!" He squealed, smacking the rock again. He sent it flying with his paw. Oakkit tried to see where it went but it dissapeared from his sight. He could probably fight with the apprentices now, thinking that he was stronger since he had hurt his denmate.

Many days had passed, Oakkit never talked to Spottedkit. Spottedkit didn't even look at him. She always turned her head when he passed by. Oakkit didn't care about her. He went outside, watching as the apprentices wrestled in the dirt. He scattered up to them. "Can I play?" He asked. "You're too small." Tigerpaw mewed. Oakkit squinted his eyes. "Size doesn't matter." Berrypaw mewed, giving Tigerpaw a harsh shove. Tigerpaw narrowed his eyes then nodded slowly. "I guess you can play." He muttered. "Let's play fox attack!" Sunpaw mewed. "Ok." Whitepaw mewed. Nightpaw purred. "I love that game." She commented. "So, who's the fox?" Oakkit mewed. "I can be the fox." Tigerpaw mewed. "Ok!" Oakkit mewed. This was better than playing with Spottedkit. Oakkit sprang up at Tigerpaw before the other apprentices can attack. Oakkit grabbed onto his back, scratching him. Tigerpaw laughed, that didn't even hurt him. Sunpaw knocked Tigerpaw over. Oakkit squealed as he hit the ground. He rolled out of the way, as the big apprentice almost fell on him. But that didn't stop him from playing. Oakkit grabbed Tigerpaw's ear and tugged on it. Berrypaw smacked Tigerpaw and Whitepaw laughed. "We got the fox!" Oakkit squealed with happiness. The apprentices were silent. Oakkit ruined it, didn't he? Oakkit squealed as eyes followed him. "Did I do something wrong?" Oakkit mewed.
"No...I was just thinking that you should say sorry to Spottedkit. She's fun to play with." Tigerpaw mewed. "Are you calling me boring?" Oakkit mewed. "N-No." Tigerpaw mewed. Oakkit looked at the apprentices. He could tell they were lying. He hurried to the nursery, digging his muzzle into Mousefur's pelt. "Everyone thinks I'm boring!" He squealed. Mousefur looked at Oakkit, not saying anything. Oakkit closed his eyes, getting some sleep.
And this, readers changes his whole life forever. There might be a skip through time in the next chapter! :D
The story get's better but this cat's life gets worse every day. Being boring isn't a bad way, Oakkit. Stop taking things the wrong way, you abusive thing!:angered:
